Abstract

Purpose To investigate the early diagnostic the value of combined deteminations of tumor markers CA199,CA242 and CA50 levels in patients with pancreatic cancer. Methods The levels of tumor markers of CA199,CA242 and CA50 were determined in 48 patients with pancreatic canner and 48 heathy volunners. Results The levels of CA199,CA242 and CA50 in patients with pancreatic cancer were significantly higher than those of normal controls(P0.05).The sensitivity and specificity of any double items in combination were higher than those of any single item determination. The sensitivity and specificity of CA199+CA242+CA50 were the highest in those of any single item determination and in combination. Conclusion With combined determination of CA199,CA242 and CA50,the sensitivity and specificity were enhanced.which is clinically valuable for early diagnostic of pancreatic canner.
