Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic value of cancer antigen 125(CA 125)for ovarian cancer by Meta-analysis.Methods:20 documents about diagnostic value of cancer antigen 125(CA 125)for ovarian cancer were collected on the basis of inclusion and exclusion criterions and then were analysed by Meta-analysis.Results:The sensitivity of serum CA 125 was above 0.64,the specificity was approaching 1 for the diagnosis of ovarian cancer. The diagnostic efficiency of CA 125 for ovarian cancer was high. There was significant difference in the level of CA 125 between patients with ovarian cancer and patients with benign ovarian tumor. Conclusion:The sensitivity and specificity of serum CA 25 are very high for the diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
