Abstract

Critical discourse analysis(CDA) regards language as social practice and is concerned with the relationship between language and power.This article aims to disclose language ideology contained in the media discourse through the method of critical discourse analysis;to probe it in terms of lexical analysis and transitivity analysis.The main purpose is to reveal the relationship among language,power and ideology to raise EFL learners' critical language awareness and improve their critical reading ability.
