Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical significance of serum Cys-C measured in the patients with hypertensive nephropathy. Methods Totally 104 patients were divided into three groups which wereⅠgroup(30),Ⅱgroup(35) and Ⅲ group(37) according to the UAER level, fasting serum Cys-C,2-MG,BUN,Cr levels were measured as well as the normal control group(30).Results The Cys-c level ofⅠgroup was(0.92±0.14) mg/l which was higher than the level of the normal control group which was(0.79±0.26)mg/l,the difference had statistic significance(P0.05),the levels of the other three indexes were higher than normal control group, but the difference had no statistic significance(P0.05).With the aggravation of the disease,Cys-C,2-MG,BUN and Cr levels increased in Ⅱand Ⅲ groups, which were significantly higher than those in normal control group(P0.01).Conclusions Cys-C is an ideal endogenous marker in the reflection of changes of glomerular filtration rate, whose sensitivity and specificity were higher than those of 2-MG,BUN and Cr.
