Abstract

Objective To explore the influence of bio logical characteristics of osteoblasts cocultured with endothelial cells in vitr o.Methods Human embryonic osteoblasts were cocultured wit h endothelial cells directively or indirectively, osteogenesis were detected by inverted microscope, cell count method, osteocalcin and alkaline phosphatase (AL P) activity assay respectively. Results There were good c ellular compatibility when cocultured of osteoblasts and endothelial cells. The proliferation of osteoblasts were accelerated(P0.05). The ALP activity of d irective or indirective coculture of endothelial cells and osteoblasts were (8.2 00±0.755)μmol/(min·10~6细胞) and (12.300±1.300)μmol/(min·10~6细胞) r espe ctively, which was higher than simple osteoblasts (P0.05). The osteocalcin synthesis of directive or indirective coculture of endothelial cells and osteobl asts were (3.8267±0.4077)μg/L and (5.1533±0.5965)μg/L respective ly,which was higher than simple osteoblasts (P0.05).Conclusion The biological characteristics of osteoblasts can be regulated through cocult ure with endothelial cells in vitro.
