Abstract
Mr. Yao Xiao-ou published an article titled as The Tablet Inscriptions and Different Interpretations of 'Nine Songs.Madame Xiang' in the first issue of 2004 on North Seminar. In this article Mr. Yao came to the conclusion that in Madame Xiang the character 张 in 与佳期兮夕张and the character 瞻should be interchangeable. However, in terms of meaning, meters and its original meaning used in The Songs of the South, we can prove that 张and 瞻are not interchangeable.
