Abstract
The emulsifier-free silicone-acrylate emulsion was synthesized by emulsion co-polymerization taking methacrylate (MMA), styrene, sodium styrene sulfonate (NaSS), and silicone monomer as materials. The effects of the content of NaSS, afflux speed of monomer, types of hydrophilic functional monomer, types and content of organic functional silicone on performance of emulsion were investigated. The result showed that the emulsifier-free silicone-acrylate emulsion has excellent properties while taking propylene amide as hydrophilic functional monomer, the content of NaSS and vinyl triisopropoxy silane were 0 086 % and 3 % respectively.
