One-stop surgical treatment of diabetic foot

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the one-stop surgical treatment of diabetic foot in clinic.Methods According to the patient's condition,175 cases of diabetic foot(206 limbs) underwent balloon dilation combined with other treatments,including stenting,local debridement,continued negative pressure drainage,change of special wound dressing,bypass with artificial graft or autogenous veins,hybrid surgery,amputation,medical therapy and so on.Results After endovascular therapy and bypass,the systematical relief rate of diabetic foot and the healing rate of ulcers were 96.97%,87.88% and 96.97%,91.92% at 1 month and 1 year after treatment,respectively.Two cases died during the perioperative period and 3 cases died after medical therapy alone.Conclusion Despite the complex manifestations of diabetic foot,one-stop surgical treatment contains multiple methods and they could be combined actively to fit therapy of diabetic foot.
