Abstract

Trace amounts of Pt(Ⅳ) in a solution of pH 5 were preconcentrated by adsorption on chitosan of 180-150 μm in grainity filled in an adsorption column.Five mL of 0.2 mol·L~(-1) thiourea solution were used as eluant to elute the adsorbed Pt(Ⅳ) from chitosan. The eluate was then used for FAAS determination of Pt(Ⅳ) under the selected intrumental candition. Linear relationship between the absorbance values and the concentration of Pt(Ⅳ)(after preconcentration) was given by the regression equation of A=0.035 C+0.002 5,with a correlation coefficient of 0.999 5.The multiple of enrichment of this adsorption separation was 47.Precision of this method was test by 11 separate determinations at concentration level of 1.0 mg·L~(-1) of Pt(Ⅳ),and a RSD value of 0.3% was obtained. The detection limit(3s) of 0.038 mg·L~(-1) was obtained.
