Abstract
Objective: To explore the expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and p53 serum level in gastric carcinoma and clinical significances. Methods: The serum levels of VEGF and p53 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosobant assays in patients with gastric carcinoma and the normal control group. Results: Serum level of VEGF in the normal control group was 55.73±8.36pg/ml, The patients group had significantly higher VEGF serum level (201.85±92.13pg/ml) than the control(P0.001). Serum level of p53 in the normal control group was 0.16±0.04U/ml, in the gastric carcinoma patients was 0.45±0.10U/ml, p53 levels between the two groups were significant different( P0.001). Conclusion: VEGF and p53 are both involved in the pathogenesis of gastric carcinoma, the detection of VEGF and p53 serum level can help diagnose and therpy of gastric carcinoma.
