Studies on Problems in Higher Vocational Education

Higher vocational education is a newly field in Chinese higher education in the end of the20th century,which is the inevitable result of the social development and the educational reform.Higher vocational education has six basic features:target of education,structure of talents and knowledge,class teaching system,practice teaching system,competent teaching staff and combination of teaching,production and research.In order to research on and adapt to the features,it is necessary to change the educational concept and strengthen the sense of bringing forth new ideas.Stress should be laid on the target of education along with the deeper educational reform.Structure of talents should be clearer and teaching should be properly performed.The construction of new type of teaching system should be based mainly on the ability of teaching staff.It is important to develop the ideas of education and form a competent teaching staff.Practice teaching system should be strengthened in order to enhance the ability of students to put their knowledge into practice.
