Abstract
The flow field in 230mm×(1030,1270,1520,1650)mm wide slab casting mold has been studies by using a scale 1:2 water mold. The results show that with the width of mold increasing, the same submerge of the impact depth of flow increases, and the whole slab mold level fluctuation was decreased. In order to fit the casting flowing needs for mold with different width,it is effective to change the submerge nozzle’s specific area, rake angle,depth-width ratio and other nozzle parameters.
