Sodium hyaluronate injection in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee

Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of sodium hyaluronate(SH) injection in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee.Method SH injection(2ml) was given five times at intervals of one week through routine knee joint puncture,and 138 cases(152 knees) were observed.Results The total effective rate was 86% after average follow-up of 8.4 months,and no poison or less side effect was found.Conclusion SH injection is an effective drug in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee.
