The therapeutic effects of Zhiziqinggan decoction combined with acupuncture on 115 cases of hyperthyroidism

Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of Zhiziqinggan decoction combined with acupuncture on hyperthyroidism. Methods 217 patients with hyperthyroidism were randomly divided into 2 groups. The 115 patients in treatment group were treated by Zhiziqinggan decoction combined with acupuncture ; the other 102 patients in control group were treated by taking tapazole,beta-neg and Vitamin C orally, with a treatment course of one month for both groups. The therapeutic effects were observed and compared between the two groups after three treatment courses. Results The total effective rate in treatment group was 96.65%, which was 71.57% in control group. There was a significant difference between two groups.(P0.05). Conclusion Zhiziqinggan decoction combined with acupuncture is effective in treating hyperthyroidism.
