Missions for Universities to Serve Regional Economy and Social Development

Abstract

While recalling the origin of the social service functions for universities,it is found that the important part of the social service functions for universities are just to serve the regional economy and social development.It is significant for universities to provide service for regional economy and social development,and it is also the demonstration of universities’regional quality.It is the necessity for universities to get more educational resources as well as the necessity for the development of regional economy and social development.Thus universities should serve the regional economy and social development through improvement of teaching and scientific research,cooperation in education and deepening the reform on systems.
