Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the changes of Straumann implants stability after implanted in human using resonance trequency analysis(RFA).Methods:35 non-submerged implants(Straumann) in 28 patients were inserted.Resonance frequency analysis(Osstell) measurements were used to evaluate the implant stability,and implant stability quotient(ISQ) values were measured at placement surgery and 1,2,3,4,6,8,12 weeks afer installation.Results:Implant stability indicated a pattern of small fluctuations in mean ISQ from 0 to 4 weeks,and increased slightly from 4 to 12 weeks,but there was no significant difference between the different observed time points.The implant stability was significantly influenced by the jawbone type and length of the implants(P0.05).The diameter of the implants,gender and position did not affect the implant stability.The survival rate during the 12 weeks follow-up was 100%.Conclusion:Implant stability is closely related with implant length and jawbone type.Resonance frequency analysis(RFA)of the implant stability is a reliable and effective assistant.
