The theory of regional competitiveness and its development

As economic globalization quickens it pace, the world is divided based more on regional competitiveness than resource advantage or comparable advantage. As our country is now experiencing an economic transfer, theoretical studies of regional competitiveness will enhance people's recognition of the concept of market economy, and boost the development of China's regional economy at a new and higher level. This paper studies and analyzes the background of the regional competitiveness theory and the foundation of the three major theories, then gives a summary of the seven main points about the theory of regional competitiveness, and finally presents the author's view about its prospect.
