Abstract
This paper analysis the relationship between Investment in Fixed Assets and economic growth of Xi'an city(1983—2010) by means of Cointegration relationship theory,Granger causality test,Impulse response function and Variance decomposition. The finding shows that in long term Xi'an economic growth is affected by both itself and investment in fixed assets. In addition,it shows that there is only one-side effect between them, but the effect to investment in fixed assets from economic growth is not obvious.
