Abstract
Torsion vibration is one of the fault reasons of rolling mill's transmission system, it is necessary that torsion vibration of transmission system should be monitored with measurement of rolling torque. Based on the measurement and calculation of rolling torque of the rolling mill's transmission system, the reasons that it can result torsion vibration were analyzed. It states that the difference between the real value and the calculated value of rolling torque is little. The monitoring, diagnosis and controlling system of torsion vibration was designed. In this system, the torsion vibration controlling and rolling process controlling were considered together. The results of application of this system in some steel rolling factories is very good. The synthetic monitoring and intelligent diagnosis is development direction of torsion vibration monitoring and controlling system of rolling mill.
