Abstract

According to the formula for transport rate of bed load, the estimating amount of annual bed load at Hengshi hydrologic station in Beijiang river is about 460 thousand tons. The operation of Feilaixia reservoir bring some sedimentation along the backwater, but not serious. Comparing with the incoming bed load, it is excessive to excavate sand from downstream bed of Beijiang river.Therefore it is necessary to make a guideline for sand excavating with consideration of the amount of incoming bed load.
