Understanding Development of Social Education in the Late Qing Dynasty through Preaching House

Preaching House is one of the most important educational institute in late Qing Dynasty.Scared Edict of the Kangxi Emperor is the main content andinspiring wisdom of people is also included as enlightening speeches at that time.From the characteristics of social education,on the one hand,the Preaching House in the period of new policy of the late Qing Dynasty is responsible for conducting the planning of constitution,education as well as the principle of autonomy,which has clear enlightening,practical and political nature;on the other hand,its content,function,management and other aspects are not mature,which mainly reflect the inadequate development of social education in the late Qing dynasty.All in all,it presents the development trend of modern social education,reflects the overall characteristics and defects of the social education.
