Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical features, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis in patients with large cerebral infarction. Methods The clinical data of 39 cases of large area cerebral infarction were retrospectively analyzed. Results Among these 39 cases,28 were survived, and the survival rate was 71.8%,and 11 cases died.Three automatic discharged cases were excluded from this series of study. All survivals were left over neurological defects with varying degree of symptoms, and they could not take care for themselves in their life. Conclusion Acute large area cerebral infarction is characterized by acute onset, quick progress, more complications and high mortality rate, therefore early diagnosis and treatment of the disease and associated diseases as well as complications are very important.
