Evaluation on effect of the two round supplementary immunization of measles vaccine in Baoshan of Yunnan province

Objective To evaluate effect of two round supplementary immunization of measles vaccine in Baoshan of Yunnan province.Methods Descriptive analysis was made according to the vaccination rate of measles vaccine for supplementary immunization.Data were obtained from the field investigation and the legal measles epidemic reporting system,and detection of antibody levels.Results The two round vaccination rate of measles vaccine was all above 98%.At the same time,the antibody level of measles was greatly improved to 95.02%(P0.001)and the incidence of measles greatly decreased from 5.99/100000 to 1.08/100000 of 2009 and 0.12/100000 of 2010,finally there was no measles cases which had been reported so far.Conclusions The incidence of measles was effectively controlled after two round supplementary immunization of measles vaccine.
