Abstract
Objective To explore the sedative effects and security of dexmedetomidine on ventilated patients vs midazolam or propofol. Methods 56 ventilated patients were divided into dexmedetomidine group(group A),midazolam group(group B),propofol group(group C).Recorded the sequential organ failure assessment, ramsay score and partial pressure of oxygen/oxygen concentration index indicators before sedation.Heart rate, blood pressure and respiration were recorded at 4,8 and 12 h of sedation. The infusion was ceased after 12 h,then the sedative degree was assessed every 60 min,and recovery time, time to achieve satisfactory sedation and the sedation level were recorded. Results Dexmedetomidine could achieve a good sedative effect, and had no suppression for respiration. After infusion, the recovery time was good. But it had cardiovascular adverse effects(P 0.05).Conclusion Dexmedetomidine has peculiar advances for ventilated patients,so its use should be generalized with watching security.
