Influential Factors on Medical Expense of Patients in New Rural Cooperation Medical System

Abstract
Objective To find out the effective way to reduce the in-hospital medical expenses of the patients in New Rural Cooperation Medical System through the influential factors analysis.Methods Medical records of 501 in-patients of the Rural Cooperation Medical System from different levels of medical institutions were randomly sampled.Average hospitalization days,per capita hospitalization costs,medicine and surgery costs were analyzed.Results Factors including the levels of the hospital,number of hospitalization days,medicine costs and surgery costs,affect the in-hospital medical expenses.Conclusion Through rational guidance,rational use of drugs and medical treatments,and improving the work efficiency,the increase of in-hospital medical expenses of patients in New Rural Cooperation Medical System can be controlled.
