Lo Fu' Course of Writing Poems : an Inspiration to Modern Chinese Poets

Lo Fu, whose course of writing poems is examined in article, is very famous both in Taiwan and in Main Land as a poet. The article focuses on analysis of his two poems The Death of Stone Room and Heavy Snow in Hunan, whose styles are quite different. We have gotten following enlightenment from research: a) Under globalization, modern Chinese poetry will go nowhere either through a complete westernization or restoring ancient ways; b) Only through the modernization of traditional andthe localization of Western can Chinese poetry obtain nutriment and gain vitality; c) Drawing essence from both traditional Chinese culture and Western culture is bound to become main tendency in development of modern Chinese poetry.
