Study on the Space-Time Evolution Feature of Economic Gravity Center in Northeast China with the Strategy of Revitalizing Northeast China from 1994 to 2011

Economic gravity center and geometric center of Northeast China were calculated by economic gravity model;then the space-time evolution feature of economic gravity center was analyzed from the relationship between economic gravity center and geometric center,moving track in latitude and longitude was got,which could reflect the spatial and temporal character of regional economic differences.The results are as follows:1)Economic gravity center is located in Siping City,which is in the southwest of geometric center;the distance of economic gravity center moving is longer in latitude than longitude which reflects that the economic difference changes greater in north to south direction.2)Since the Chinese state implements the Strategy of Revitalizing Northeast China and Other Old Industrial Base(from 1994to 2011),economic gravity center moves southward continually,which reflects that regional economic imbalance becomes larger.3)The distance between economic gravity center and geometric center in Northeast China is longer than in each of the 3provinces,and it′s all the same with the distance of economic gravity center moving,which reflects that the economic differences among three provinces is a major cause of economic gravity center moving.
