Abstract
In order to know Chen Duxiu’s view points of the Confucianism it is to understand the following three aspects such as the reactionary nature of Confucianism;the absurdity for honouring Confucianism and the necessity of anti-Confucianism.The reactionary nature of Confucianism existed in the old feudal ethical code,the absurd nature of honouring Confucianism is to opposite to the modern core-value system and the necessity for anti-confucianism is closed to the Confucius fuedal monarchy.Why did Chen Du-xiu fight against Confucianism? It is because that he held that the modern culture value of the western world stressed the two elements of democracy and science.He was intended that he would be desired to call the people’s conciousness by means of the enlightening movement.
