Abstract
Objective:To discuss the imaging features of hypertrophic pyloric stenosis,to evaluate the clinical significance on barium meal examination.Materials and Methods:Ultrasound and barium meal examination were performed on 48 cases, and contrasted with surgical operation.Results:48 cases were diagnosed HPS by ultrasound,47 cases confirmed by surgical treatment,1 case proved to be antral mucosal diaphragmatic stenosis by barium meal examination and surgical treatment.12 cases followed with gastro-esophageal reflux,2 cases with gastro-esophageal hernia. Conclusion:Ultrasound and barium meal examination are accurate and reliable method for HPS.Ultrasound associated with barium meal examination is of great clinical value for surgery to make operation projects.
