Abstract

[Objective] To study the use of Cathepsin B in Paclitaxel-induced apoptosis in SGC-7901 cells. [Methods] SGC-7901 cells were treated with paclitaxel of various concentration (0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5μmol / L). Other groups were treated with paclitaxel and CA-074 ( Me) ; then they were treated 0h, 6h, 12h, 24h, 36h, 48h with paclitaxel with 0.3μmol / L. Other groups were treated with paclitaxel and CA-074 (Me). Cell morphology observation and flow cytometry were used to examine paclitaxel-induced apoptosis in SGC-7901 cells. [Results] ① Paclitaxel were cytotoxic to SGC-7901 cells in time-dependent and dose-dependent manner. ② After adding CA-074 (Me) , the rate of cell apoptosis obviously lowered. [Conclusion] Cathepsin B is important in Paclitaxel-induced apoptosis in SGC-7901 cells.
