Abstract
The combined sections of cable-stayed bridge tower contain many members,so that the stress had been extremely complex.Based on the tower of an arch-tower cable-stayed bridge,Midas/Civil is used to establish a space truss model for the overall analysis to determine the most unfavorable parts of the steel-concrete combined sections under loading and displacement conditions. With the larger general-purpose finite element software ANSYS,three-dimensinal solid model is established, which can determine the performance of steel and concrete of the combined sections. The calculated results show that the deformation and stress level of steel-concrete composite section is small, which can show the structure is safe.
