Abstract
The Wood Fiber Length (WFL) of 30 Eucalyptu s globulus trees and 36 E. maidenii trees were measur ed at different height, age and four cardinal sides of each trees’dbh discs. Th e results of variance analysis on WFL show the difference of WFL at cardinal sid es are not significant within trees in both species, while there are significant difference in ages and heights (p0001). The increase of WFL is a lmost linear correlated with ages when less 11 years old (r = 0988 0), of which the variation can be described with logarithmic curve. The WFL at t he dbh is the shortest, then at the 3/4 height, and the middle part of trunk is longer. The correlation coefficient of WFL of 2 years old and 8 years of harvest age is significant (P= 0.01). The difference of WFL is significant between two species, but not significant among blocks. The difference of WFL is significant among families in E. globulus (p0.0 5), but not among families in E. maidenii.
