Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Paroxetine combine with Amitriptyline in the treatment of Depression and Anxiety. Methods 78 depression and Anxiety patients were divided into two groups of 39 ones each randomly, research group took Paroxetine combine Amitriptyline, and control group did Paroxetine for 8 weeks. Efficacies were assessed with the Hamilton Depression Scale( HAMD) and the Hamilton Anxiety Scale( HAMA) ,and adverse reactions with the Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale( TESS) before treatment and the end of 2nd,4th,8th week treatment. Results The effective rate was respectively 84. 6% in the researchang 83. 8% in the control group, which showed no significant difference( P 0. 05) . After treatment, the HAMD/HAMA scores of both groups lowered more significantly compared with pretreatment( P 0. 01) and did continously along with treatment lasting; the score lowered more significantly in the research than in the control group at the end of the 2nd week, there were no significant differences in other timepoint scores( P 0. 05) . Conclusion Paroxetinein combined with Amitriptylinein effect in the treatment of depression and anxiety in the affirmative, fewer side effects and light.
