Based on the experience of college English teaching reform,the present paper intends to interpret the newly revised and publishedCollege English Curriculum Requirementswith contemporary educational theories by focusing on the importance of foreign language teaching theories,the nature of college English course,the introduction of computer and classroom-based teaching models,and the development of English faculty.
