Abstract

The environmental impact assessment policy is one major component of environmental policy system in China. Based on the explanation of connotation and basic characteristics of environmental policy, adopted by general theory of public policy, the connotation, feature, policy system, policy process and main policy functions of environmental impact policy are analyzed briefly, in order to recognize the environmental impact assessment system from the public policy's point of view.
