Abstract

Objective To investigate the rationale of clinical treatment of the avulsed anterior teeth. Methods Clinical outcomes and different treatments of 71 teeth which belong to different kinds of dislocaton were analysed comparatively.Results The total treatment rate of the dislocated teeth by root canal therapy was 70.4%,68.9% of the partial dislocated teeth and 76.2% of the complete dislocated teeth were treated with root canal therapy respectively.45.1% of roots of the dislocated teeth was demonstrated absorbed and the root absorption of the dislocated teeth was 39.4% before root canal therapy and 5.7% after root canal therapy.Conclusion Root canal therapy is an important method to treat the dislocated teeth,and early root canal therapy can prevent or reduce root absorption of the dislocated teeth.
