Study on the influence of clinical nursing pathway for nursing satisfaction and self-care ability of patients with breast cancer

Abstract
Objective To investigate the influence of clinical nursing pathway for nursing satisfaction and self-care ability of patients with breast cancer.Methods 80 cases of breast cancer patients admitted to the affiliated hospital of Yan'an University from January 2010 to April 2011 were randomly divided into conventional group(n = 40) and intervention group(n = 40).The conventional group only received the routine nursing care,and the intervention group received clinical nursing pathway.The nursing satisfaction and self-care ability in 2 groups was observed and compared.Results The total rate of nursing satisfaction in the intervention group was 95.0%,the total rate of nursing satisfaction in the conventional group was 80.0%,so the nursing satisfaction in the intervention group was significantly higher than that of the conventional group(P 0.05);the scores of the health care knowledge,self-concept,self-care responsibility,self-care skills and the total score of self-care ability in the intervention group was significantly higher than that of the conventional group(P 0.05).Conclusion The clinical nursing pathway can improve the nursing satisfaction and self-care ability of patients with breast cancer.
