Public Education and Rural Improvement:Researching the Experimental Plot of Xishan Wanshougong in Nanchang of the Republic of China

In the 1930s,the Public Education Hall of Jiangxi established a locality sorting section in Xishan Wanshougong,and spent 4 years carrying on various public education and improvement work in the rural areas,taking Xishan Wanshougong as a center,which played a positive role for refreshing the local rural landscape and improving the local rural social progress.The experiment of improving rural areas was both due to XIONG Shihui's individual will,and was a response to the rural construction movement wave in full swing in China at that time,and was early comprehensive attempt of local rural modernization.Experiences and lessons in the practice have important practical significance for new rural construction at present and even the countryside modernization continuation.
