Abstract

There are huge number of edge nodes existing in Internet. We wonder whether telecom companies, the main constructor of Internet, could utilize the huge computing ability and information resource of these edge peers. In this paper,we propose a new operation mode based on P2P which is valuable to telecom companies. Its main idea is to make full use of the spare clients of telecom companies to contribute their available computing resources of telecom data service users to analyse large scale telecom data when they are surfing on Internet. The positive and negative effects of P2P technology to telecom companies are discussed and an advice is given about which kind of P2P network topology telecom companies shall adopt.Explaination is followed of the urgent need for telecom companies to analyse such large scale data.Detailed description is devoted to the new large scale telecom data analysis operation mode based on P2P as well as how to promote P2P applications from telecom companies' point of view. Finally,we discuss how to build a data analysis demo system based on P2P.
