Abstract
According to the meaning of potential of economic development,this paper sets up an index system of evaluating potential of regional economic development and has a comprehensive study of potential of 80 counties in Jiangxi Province in economic development from 2000 to 2009.The study shows that after 2000 the development potential of county economy in Jiangxi province grows stronger,the difference among counties has been becoming bigger and bigger and sometimes the development potential is not in agreement with the strength of economic development.
