Abstract
There is no ready model for all poetry translation.It is not poetic form that makes a poem but poetic nature.This paper probes into the basic problems of poetry translation from the perspective of the nature of poetry.The author also tries to expound and verify that Huang Gaoxin's emulation method in poetry translation lacks adequate theoretical foundation and is far from satisfactory in practice.
