Abstract
Taking cumulation of innovation and time lag character of FDI in account, spillover effect of FDI to China's innovation capability is empirical analyzed based on dynamic panel data model and annual provincial data from 1993 to 2006.And regional differences of spillover effect are discussed based upon empirical analysis of China's eastern、middle and western areas using the same method above. As the result shown, the spillover effect in middle area is more significant, while it is not significant in eastern and western areas.Furthermore, the spillover effects of FDI to design in eastern area and invention and utility model in middle area is significant, whereas the spillover effects of FDI to all kinds of patents are not significant.
