Abstract
Considering the situation that the deepwater engineering equipment needs to be improved with the exploration and development of oil and gas resources in deepwater,a 9 000 m self-elevating offshore derrick is developed. The derrick has the features of upright without anchor line, multi-section package, self-elevating, Kshaped structure,self-contained hoisting winch, easy installation and small footprint to meet the offshore platform installation requirements. By using small modular design, the mass of each module of the derrick is less than 17 t,meeting the requirements of offshore platform onsite lifting. The derrick body and the key stressed components have been treated with thermal aluminum spraying and offshore anti-corrosive paint to meet the anti-corrosion requirements for marine environment. The successful development of the 9 000 m self-elevating offshore derrick will further promote the domestication of deepwater drilling equipment.
