Abstract

Objective To study the genotoxicity of pesticide cartap. Methods The Ames test, micronucleus test and comet assay were used to detect the genotoxicity of pesticide cartap. Results With and without S9 activation, there were negative results of the TA97,TA98,TA100 and TA102 strains in Ames test. The micronucleus rates in all doses were not significantly different from the control group; In comet assay, the tail length was significantly different between the negative control and the treated groups(P0.05) in dose of 100 mg/(kg·bw),while there was not significant difference between the negative control and the treated groups(P0.05) in other dose; The results of genetic toxicity tests were all negative, including Ames test, micronucleus test and comet assay. Conclusion The pesticide cartap has no genetic toxicity in this test.
