At the end of Qing and the beginning of the Republic of China,women changed their role in,methods of and attitudes towards famine relief.Women's practice of famine relief not only laid a good foundation for the rise of women's participation in political affairs at the beginning of the Republic of China,but also became an important sign of the growing strength of charity relieves.
