Abstract

Objective To survey the distribution of high arsenic wells and the state of endemic arsenism in Tumotezuoqi. Methods According to Asandard of diagnosis for endemic arsenism (WS/T211-2001) and the arsenic content of drinking water was determined by DDC-Ag.Results There are 18.75% arsenic content in drinking water beyond national standard in 352 villages, involves the population 5 0995 people.Investigating 1 1507 people and arsenic poison case of illness 3046 people, prevalence rate is 26.47%.The patients suffered deferent degrees of arsenic depigmentation and keratosis. The detection rate tended to increase along with the rising of arsenic content and the age. Conclusion The endemic arsenic of Tumotezuoqi is still very severe.
