Curative effect of antihypertensive therapy and urate lowering therapy for patients with hyperuricemia and hypertension

Objective To study the curative effect of antihypertensive therapy and urate lowering therapy for the patient both with hyperuricemia and hypertension.Methods All 284 cases of the patients with hyperuricemia and hypertension were divided into lowering blood pressure group and lowering uric acid group.The patients received only antihypertensive therapy in lowering blood pressure group,and observed the level of systolic blood pressure in lowering uric acid group.Diastolic blood pressure and the level of uric acid before and were evaluated before and after treatment.Results The level of uric acid in lowering blood pressure group were lower than that before treatment(P 0.01).The level of systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were lower than that before treatment in uric acid group,but there was no statistical significance.Conclusion Reasonable controlling of blood pressure could improve the level of uric acid,but only urate lowering therapy could not improve blood pressure.The blood pressure and uric acid of patients with both hyperuricemia and hypertension should be strictly controlled.
