Abstract

A total of 500 college students from Guangzhou city were investigated with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) and Type A behavior styles questionnaires. The results show that boys got remarkably higher scores on sleep disturbance and day time dysfunction than girls did. There is great difference between college students from different grades in sleep quality, sleep latency,day-time's dysfunction and total scores on PSQI.Compared with type B and type M,Type A has remarkably lower scores on dysfunction and notably higher scores on sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration and PSQI.Therefore, intervention should be put up according to gender, grade and type A behavior,so as to enhance college students' sleep quality.
