Abstract
Objective carotid atherosclerosis in patients with acute cerebral infarction plaque situation, understanding the level of blood fibrinogen on carotid atherosclerosis effects. Methods From May 2008 to February 2010 126 patients with acute cerebral infarction treated patients with carotid artery color Doppler ultrasound recording of carotid atherosclerotic plaques in the location, size, number of carotid artery intima media thickness (intima-media thickness, IMT). According to fibrinogen levels were divided into two groups of patients with normal concentrations and carotid artery between the characteristics of atherosclerotic plaque analysis and comparison analysis. Results in patients with high concentrations of plaques and bilateral carotid artery IMT was higher than normal concentration of the group, the difference was significant. Patients with high levels of carotid artery IMT ≥ 0.09 mm’s was higher than normal concentrations, the difference is statistically significant. Conclusion As an important stroke risk factor, blood fibrinogen levels and acute carotid artery atherosclerosis and carotid artery IMT is closely related to.
