Abstract

OBJECTIVE To study the human papilloma virus(HPV) causing cervical infections in various age groups of female patients and observe its genotypes so as to provide scientific basis for the HPV epidemiological research.METHODS The cervical tissue specimens obtained from 3288 female patients were examined with DNA extraction and nucleic acid hybridization technique(cape medical system).RESULTS The total HPV infection rate was 18.95%.HPV16 was the most prevalent high-risk type, accounting for 16.92% among the positive HPV genotypes, followed by HPV52(15.96%) and HPV58(14.60%).Among the various age groups, the top three groups with the total HPV positive rate and the high risk HPV positive rate were the 30-39 age group,40-49 age group, and 50-59 age group.CONCLUSION The most prevalent high risk HPV genotypes in the female patients are HPV16,HPV52,and HPV58.The positive rate of the HPV in the 30-39 age group is the highest.
